Philosophy #4

This essay was taken my second week I was here at PSU. I didn’t know I was taking a particularly easy course on philosophy but what I did know was that I was finding who I was among people who didn’t seem to get along or to care about on another. And this particular lecture answers my question on who am I as a person among others.

Since this only being the second week of class, many things have been taught. Over the time since I have been here, a lot has changed my thought process of not just the history of philosophy but the ideas and the concepts that associated with it. Now I understand that philosophy comes from the word “philosphia” from Thales and the definition is the love of wisdom to search for the truth. That includes the readings/teaching of Socrates and the notes of Plato as well. Without including Aristotle, both of these philosophers area martyrs and discovers of a time when it was wrong to search for the truth and believe that they were a higher being. However, they both prove a point, every being can’t be a higher being; they already are. Take for example from the “Allegory of the Cave”, the people in shackles are consider higher, well developed beings already with their ideas of the world that they see in the cave but when one goes up they are much disproportionate to the others. Speculatively, this answers the question that whoever searches for their idea of life; it will make them a menace to society and become blinded by ambition to discover what is real. However, is all reality really solved for us but our mind just can’t handle it? We are already programmed to understand the feeling of nature and it emotions that binds us to its immortality. Just like Bob Dylan, he wasn’t bound by the human race like he said; he served a higher being than us. Despite his allegiance, he solved the complex idea of not just aesthetics, etymology or hermeneutics; he solved the reason behind all human nature and its pure genius while making songs: nothing. He had the idea whole parts became parts whole; they all connected in some link chain of words and events of importance. This is where humanity has become: a false persona with a fake alias. Perhaps overtime, the prognosticated ideas of humanity might surge again, but it’s only not time it will tell but the acceptance that most things that we can’t explain we must get by and move on; we were all put on this earth for a reason. Why rush nature’s true outcome? Instead, we should evolve ourselves to making our lives better philosophically for the future of humanity and the ideas of not the ones before and after, but the ones who will become the doubted and the stumbles based on society’s idea of perfected living and knowledge. Only time will tell, but instead of being cooped up in a blinding rage; maybe we should let things go and play out for the benefit of teaching ourselves to be better and not more like a prisoner of our own perfected system.
